Atitech had the privilege of participating in the 73rd ELMO meeting held in Nantes on February 13 and 14. The event is organized and hosted by HOP!, Air France’s regional carrier, and is held twice a year, usually a month before the IATP conference. It is a unique opportunity to bring together all line managers from major European airlines, allowing all participants to share experiences, best practices and grow their network of professionals in the world of aviation and line maintenance issues.
As Atitech, we were invited to this event even though we are not an airline but an MRO because of the excellent relationship we have with carriers as providers of scheduled maintenance services.
Twelve airlines with a total of 25 people involved in line maintenance were represented at the event. Atitech was the only independent MRO present. The goal was to learn from each other’s experiences, discuss together the challenges ahead, and share each other’s expertise in finding solutions. It was also an opportunity to identify new opportunities for potential collaborations in the bases manned by Atitech.
With the acquisition of Alitalia Engineering & Maintenance last Nov. 1, Atitech took over 21 scheduled maintenance airports in Italy (FCO, NAP, MXP, LIN, AHO, CAG, OLB, TRN, GOA, VRN, VCE, TRS, BLQ, FLR, PSA, BRI, BDS, SUF, REG, PMO and CTA) and 11 abroad (CDG, FRA, MUC, SVO, ALG, CMN, TUN, TLV, KIX, GRU and EZE) assisting over 100 carriers.
