The President of Atitech S.p.A., Gianni Lettieri, and the Director of CeSMA, Domenico Accardo, have signed a technical-scientific consulting agreement focused on the development and aeronautical certification of advanced methodologies for aircraft transformation.
Among other areas of collaboration, the agreement includes establishing a joint laboratory. This lab aims to boost research and innovation activities in areas of mutual interest. The joint laboratory will have two operational sites: one at the San Giovanni a Teduccio University complex, and the other at the Capodichino Nord facility.
This initiative is part of an innovation project that brings together a leading international company and a cutting-edge university in their respective fields. It’s a strategic activity that will lead to the creation of a laboratory. This lab will allow for the necessary tests and experiments for the approval of aeronautical components used during maintenance phases. The goal is to improve the efficiency of maintenance processes and, more broadly, the safety of aircraft undergoing these activities.
CeSMA and Atitech are two prime examples of excellence in the Campania region. Both are deeply rooted in the area and actively contribute to organizations and projects aimed at strengthening local competitiveness. They achieve this through the adoption of complex initiatives based on technological and organizational innovation, as well as by supporting the region’s entrepreneurial spirit.
The establishment of this laboratory signifies a deep collaboration, one that integrates with the centuries-old history of the University of Naples Federico II. At the same time, it opens doors to new technologies, scientific, and technical expertise, fostering interaction between the industrial and academic worlds within an innovative and competitive environment.
