A strategic agreement was signed today between Atitech and Alisarda Real Estate Srl, a company wholly owned by Geasar S.p.A. Group, which manages Aeroporto Olbia Costa Smeralda and led by Group CEO Silvio Pippobello.
The subject of the contract, with a ten-year duration, is the new destination of the Avio1 and Avio2 hangars at Olbia airport where up to six base maintenance bays and two ‘interiors refurbishment’ bays will be set up for the ‘business aviation’ target, that of private jets.
Atitech was selected as the contractor for the two hangars following an international selection procedure launched last year.
“The geographical positioning of Olbia airport and the historical traffic recorded in this market segment guarantee a secure pool of demand to support our project,” explained Atitech president and CEO Gianni Lettieri during the event. “We will make use of the staff of the former Air Italy, and we will leverage the training of new resources, also through collaboration with regional institutions and local technical and aeronautical colleges.”
The reference is undoubtedly to the nautical and maxi-yacht segment. In the Olbia and Gallura area, in fact, this segment has undergone marked development in recent years.
The project is scheduled to start in a few months, at least for the first ‘light maintenance’ activities. For Atitech, the contract was negotiated with the support of the in-house legal department coordinated by lawyer Annalaura Lettieri.
